Sustaim Consulting participated in the International Conference on the theme, “Productivity and Growth: New Interlocking Paradigms”, organised by the National Productivity Council and supported by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) from 14 to 16 June 2023 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Conference was an excellent gathering to meet approximately 150 national and international participants and experts, to exchange ideas and learn from others. Sustaim Consulting was represented by Ms Yukti Choudhary.

Attendees at the International Conference on the theme “Productivity and Growth: New Interlocking Paradigms” organised by the National Productivity Council and supported by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in Chennai.
The Conference was attended by Government officials and policymakers, industry leaders, senior officials of National Productivity Organizations, public-sector representatives, members of academia and knowledge-based institutions, and members of industry associations.
APO conference included technical sessions focussing on (i) innovation-led productivity growth, (ii) energy productivity, (iii) green finance, (iv) institutional strengthening and (v) access to finance for MSMEs. The Conference deliberated upon rejuvenating the productivity movement for green growth, focusing on productivity enhancement in government policies and programs for increasing resource efficiency and achieving higher energy productivity, and expanding partnerships with APO member countries for adopting green and intelligent technologies. Some of the key topics discussed included:
· Innovation-led productivity enhancement for green growth
· Energy productivity through energy-efficient practices and technologies
· APO Green Productivity concept for cleaner industrialization
· Enhancing SME access to finance for technological and resource efficiency
· Institutional strengthening for catalysing green growth
· ESG and green finance
The Asian Productivity Organisation, headquartered in Tokyo, was established in 1961 to boost productivity in the Asia-Pacific region through cooperation. The APO works as a Think Tank, Catalyst, Regional Advisor, Institution Builder and a Clearinghouse for Productivity Information. It dispatches technical experts on productivity, promotes multilateral and bilateral cooperation between members, develops demonstration projects on practical productivity applications, accredits productivity certification bodies, builds capacity in productivity knowledge, provides advisory services to develop productivity roadmaps and conducts research on productivity.
